the sweetest bro ever, pat murphy, took some video of us playing our new song “the secret heart” at our tour homecoming show. thanks pat!

Listening to the clap 7 inch we got direct from their manicured fingers to get psyched for the show at rosebud.

“Universe City”

Recorded live in Washington, DC @ Velvet Lounge on a bill with Mary Christ & Music Band

Our last road show of the tour was at flywheel arts in easthampton. Erika from expressway to yr skull set it up and rules for many reasons other than that.

We played with merchant bankers and true jacqueline who, as their twitter sez are, “a charming indie rock band!” I don’t know how to describe them but they rocked really hahd. And I liked it.

Oh did I say this? Thick Shakes also played and they made us feel much better to be home. They stood all up close to us and matt L sat on my amp the whole time we played. Lindsay also said we sounded “crisp.” I felt pretty crispy so it was apropo. Matt M. Gave me the best hug at the beginning of the night AND A KISS! I also got to jump in time with Tim while he bounced around the audience playing. So what I’m saying is that it was pretty classic thick shakes party time.

I’m writing this a day late cuz we stayed with nick and crystal and were catching the fuck up and didn’t want to be on my phone.

So yeh we are home now and though I’m a little bummed, we have one more amazing show tonight and I feel pretty proud and psyched about all the new friends we met.

Also we spent much less on gas than I thought.

There is nothing like touring. I wish we were going for another two months.

Next time. Next time for sure.

Thanks to everyone who put us up and were incredibly hospitable. People who gave up their money to help us out or picked up our cd we really are grateful.

lookit these handsome gents. hey guess what? they are the best band. and they are called rabbit troupe.

our second trip to new jersey and second to last road date of the tour was really incredible. We played at a house called “The Zoo” run by one of the coolest dudes we’ve met all tour - Miguel. He’s a one man show in terms of throwing shows and fucking TOOK. CARE. OF. US.

We played with Cinema, Cinema from brooklyn, Rabbit Troupe, Dark Surfer (members of Alien Father) and the totally theatrical and nuts Thomas Francis Takes His Chances. Definitely the best sounding basement of the entire tour.

so yeah, there’s good shit happening in new jerz. don’t let nobody tell you there isn’t.
