Bear on a hot brown box. At crystal and nicks!
Last night was the final night of sleeping in our van on tour. Thanks Bertie! You’ve been good to us!
This is what we are having for breakfast.
This pretty much sums up Delaware. Soul Pole is a cool Garage/Metal band. And that’s all I’m going to post about that. BONESAW IS READEEEE!
Willimantic had gauntlet 64. Delaware has ORIGINAL GAUNTLET YES.
Radio Control are not very good at billiards
There is a lot to say about DC. We rolled in about 1 and went right to the american art museum to see the “Art of Video Games” exhibit. We couldn’t believe that shit was free. It was pretty standard in the games it featured but definitely is a step in the right direction for mass recognition of the medium as both art AND entertainment. Jenova Chen is a beast. There is something to be said for an artist that gets that big of a corporation to just fund “whatever.” I’m impressed.
We went to some happy hour in like some place, but the highlight of that was meeting up with our awesome friend Ashley. She just moved to DC and gave us the rundown on a bunch of shit. Then we drove her around in the van to show her what the fuck we were doing with our lives.
The venue was pretty rad and abbey lounge and the doorman helped us not get a ticket. Its dumb to go on and on about bands that you play with, which I obviously do all the time, but Mary Christ is a band that we have been looking forward to playing with since booking the show. They just played with Ted Leo and write really sick tunes. We also found out that the drummer, meaghan is moving up to Boston with her boyfriend and living with awesome Kimberly who hooked us up with mc in the first place.
Party.
I don’t want to leave out Music Band either though. Those dudes were so cool. We had a bunch of cool “tour” conversations and they are my favorite type of punk band. We blasted their cd on the way to delaware today.
Shit! Food came! We have a show in like half an hour ahhhhhh!!!
We are home so soon fuuck!
This pretty much sums it up. Richmond was probably the most surprisingly awesome place we’ve been so far. We met a lot of cool people, the house show scene seemed to be thriving and their was a definite community which was cool to be a part of.
Definitely looking forward to going back and seeing Roger, Travis, Corey, Dave, Sarah, AMONG OTHERS. Check out Family Cat, Close Friends, Close Talker & Dave Deese.
Also fucking 821 Cafe - best breakfast we’ve had all tour. BANG.
